Dance School of Excellence



Emma also began her training with Miss Jennifer Bullick. She loved the classes and excelled very quickly being chosen at the age of 5years from hundreds of little girls to dance in the Grand Opera House in Belfast .This was at the 75th Anniversary Gala Performance of the Royal Academy of Dancing in the presence of Madame Irina Baronova to whom she presented the bouquet of flowers.

With her love of dance Emma continued her training taking examinations in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Musical Theatre through the Royal Academy of Dancing, Imperial Society of Dancing and British Theatre .During this time Emma had the opportunity of dancing in the Point Theatre Dublin with Boyzone.

Emma then attended classes with her mother and continued her training through the Professional Teachers of Dance completing all children's grades with Honours. She continued studying, passing Intermediate Foundation , Intermediate, Advanced Foundation and Advanced all with Honours. Her most recent success' include passing both her Student Teaching and Associate Teaching Examinations with Honours and Licentiate with Distinction . Emma was then offered a teaching position in France. Emma is now a fully qualified examiner for the Professional Teachers of Dancing and already has been to Portugal, Brussels and throughout England as part of her new post.

Emma was chosen through examination on both occasions that the PTD held Gala Performances in London to perform both solo and group dances.

Emma delivers the dance component of the Performing Arts GCSE to pupils from Rathfriland High, Newbridge Integrated, and St. Patricks College. Emma is also a fully qualified Acrobatic Arts and Progressive ballet teacher.

Although still young and only in her twenties Emma has a wealth of knowledge and experience that surpasses her youthfulness ! She is a marvellous asset to the school and much loved by pupils and staff alike.
